Timelines depend on scope. A single-room rear addition typically runs 3–4 months, a second-storey raise sits in the 5–7 month range, and we confirm a fixed schedule before any contracts are signed.
Almost all extensions need a Building Approval and most also need a Development Approval depending on overlays and zoning. We manage both — drawings, certifier, council lodgement and inspections — so you're not chasing it yourself.
In most cases, yes. We zone the build so the existing house stays usable, dust-protect adjoining rooms, and keep site hours predictable. For larger structural work — like a second-storey raise — we'll talk through any short relocation periods up front.
